All 1st and 2nd year students enjoyed a visit to the theatre yesterday. As part of their english course, they attended a thought provoking adaptation of the war story "Private Peaceful".
Movie Night

A group of 5th Year students along with Ms. Kelty organised a movie night that took place in the Concert Hall to raise funds for the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes. Students from all years enjoyed a screening of 'Pitch Perfect' and an impromptu sing along with enthusiastic 5th year students.

East Leinster Championships.

Congratulations to all students who took part in the East Leinster Championships in Santry on the 2nd and 4th of May. There were some great performances by the Sion Hill team. A special congratulations to Beth Sweeney who won the silver medal in the Intermediate girls long jump. Beth has qualified to compete in the Leinster finals in two weeks time. Holly Graham was 4th in the final of the under16 200m. Caitlin Walsh was a finalist in the junior 80metre hurldles. Eve Buckley was a finalist in the senior 100m sprint. The minor, junior, inter and senior relay teams all qualified for the final of the 4x100metre relay. The senior relay team won the bronze medal in the final. The team was comprised of Amy Giblin, Sabine Haller, Eve Buckley and Tara Jenkins. Well done to all who participated and we look forward to further success next year.

The environment committee celebrating their success at the Young Reporters for the Environment Competition ran by An Taisce. The girls came second in the senior national contest for their written report on keepcups vs disposible coffee cups to address a local litter issue. The girls green goblin video will also be entered into the international YRE competition.

Microsoft Convention

Students from Transition year attended a talk in UCD encouraging women to peruse an education in STEM. Many inspirational guest speakers took to the stage to share their experience of working with IT in their field of work.
