Students and Teachers from all of Sion Hill's committees walked in a symbolic walk of solidarity, carrying water and supporting Aidlink. Today in Kenya as drought continues in the Kajiado and Turkana regions, children, especially girls, trek daily in search of water. This act of solidarity is important in highlighting the global water and sanitation crisis and raising awareness of the rights of children.

Transition year students took to the streets today for the annual Daffodil Day collection in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

David Gillick, former two time European 400m Indoor Champion and winner of Celebrity Masterchef visited Sion Hill today as part of our Healthy Lifestyle Week. He spoke to the pupils on the importance of making a plan to achieve their goals and how valuable a healthy diet is.

The Senior A hockey team are the Champions of the Dublin Sth Central B League!! They beat Jesus & Mary College 2-0. Congratulations girls!

Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl sa scoil an tseachtain seo caite. Bhí go leor imeachtaí eagraithe do na daltaí agus tá súil againn gur bhain gach duine taitneamh astu. Thosaíomar an tseachtain le Tráth na gCeist agus ansin bhí Céilí agus Amhránaíocht againn, chomh maith le Tóraíocht Taisce. Bhí Comórtas Póstaeir ar siúl don Chéad agus Dara Bliain. Bhuaigh Aideen Connor ón gCéad Bhliain agus Asyila Nindita ón Dara Bliain an comórtas. Rinne na daltaí ar fad sár-iarracht bheith ag caint as Gaeilge i rith na seachtaine. Chuaigh na cailíní ón Idirbhliain go dtí Coláiste na Carraige Duibhe ar an Aoine agus bhí an-spraoi acu ag an gcéilí a bhí eagraithe acu. Chríochnaíomar ag am lóin ar an Aoine le céilí mór agus bhí atmaisféar iontach le brath sa halla.

The Junior A team won the Dublin South Central B League on Saturday morning beating Notre Dame 4-1 on penalty strokes after an exciting game ended all square. Well done girls!
World Book Day

The Library Committee welcomed all students at the gate this morning to celebrate world book day by distributing book tokens. The first years then availed of a tour of Blackrock library and a visit to Dubray books where they used their vouchers to purchase new books. On return to the school the first years were busy completing a book related cross word in St Thomas' Library
