Congratulations to Scoil Chriost Ri staff and students who were awarded their first Global Passport Award in Croke Park Thursday 28th April. Miss Byrne and her 5th year Religion class have been working hard to create awareness around development education issues in the school this year.
Laois Track & Field

Scoil Chriost Ri had a very successful outing at Laois Track and Field event on the 5th of April. The minor relay team won silver, as did the junior relay team, and the intermediate and senior relay teams won gold. Gillian Keenan, Aoife Daly and Aoife Ennis won gold in their respective 100m sprint events while Munirat Shabowale won gold in the minor long jump. Many of the athletes secured silver and gold medals in their events. Congratulations to all!

The 1st SCR Cupcake Carnival in aid of the Irish Cancer Society's Daffodil Day was held in the school GPA on Thursday the 23rd of March. Guest judge & past pupil Kelly Ging owner of Kelly Lou Cupcakes judged the competition. The standard of competition in both the Junior & Senior section was extremely high. Congratulations to the following students who were winners: Junior Section: 1st place Ebony Onalimi, 2nd place Rachel Mannion & 3rd place Hannah Daly Senior Section: 1st place Siobhan Kelly, 2nd place Emer Healy & 3rd place Ingrid Chelmu The cupcake's were sold at lunchtime & the event raised 550 euro's for the Irish Cancer society. Well done to all who entered & contributed to the event.
