RuaRed Gallery opened their exhibition "Very New School" which has a work included by Mr. Kenny's TY art class and our artist in residence Mark O' Kelly.

Jennifer was awarded 1st place and is now the Irish Champion in the Under 14 Combined Events Athletics competition!
She competed in the following events - High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Putt, and Hurdles. This is a fantastic achievement for Jennifer! WELL DONE!

Congratulations to Hannah Spain and Siobhán Larkin! Their project entitled 'Quantitative study of Portion Sizes in Irish takeaway restaurants' won a "Highly Commended" award at this year's BT Young Scientist Exhibition. Their project yielded some very interesting results.
Hannah and Siobhán were interviewed for RTE's Morning Ireland show. Listen to the podcast link from the 2:28 min mark to hear the girls and to find out more.

6th Year
6th Year Irish Trip Sept 28th to Sat 30th.
The 6th Year Irish trip traveled to An Rinn Co Waterford to focus on their oral Irish. They enjoyed Irish classes, céilí, and a turas around Ard Mór.

The girls represented themselves and the school brilliantly on Tuesday.
Hannah O'Gorman, Emily O'Gorman and Amy Dodril won the intermediate technology category.
Sinead McGoldrick, Emer O'Riordan and Aisling Phelan came runner up in the Junior Social and Psychological Studies category.

Maria Finnegan, Sarah Maher and Ellie Horan came runner up in Junior Biology.
Thanks to all the science teachers involved in supporting the girls and for all your help and support.
In other Science Department news, the annual Dublin branch ISTA Junior Science Quiz took place on Wednesday, 10th May in Belvedere College.
Well done to the following 3rd year Science students who represented Our Lady's School at the event: Ciara Campbell, Ana Cooke, Fionnuala Hyndman, Rachel Kilmartin, Ciara O'Brien and Elizabeth Rath.
Unfortunately, the girls did not qualify for the national final, however represented themselves and the school very well!
