Please note that as part of the BCS PE department aim of reducing our sugar content, an excellent display can be seen in the school canteen. We would encourage students, staff and parents to take the time to examine the sugar content of foods you may consume on a daily basis. A huge thank you to Tina, the Home Economics department and the students of TY D for its design and construction. Venue for TYA First Aid Course is the Meditation Room (both days). Venues for TYB are Ms Roche's Room on Tuesday and Ms Ryan's Room on Wednesday. Bring your TY Journal, writing paper and a pen. If you are using the course to fulfil the Personal Skill section of the Gaisce Award, you must get your journal signed by the course instructors.
TY FIRST AID COURSES

A two day certified first aid course is scheduled for all Transition Years in the coming days. TYA andTYB will complete the course this week on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd February. TYC, TYD and TYE will complete the course on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th February. Students must have full attendance over the two days of the course to receive the First Aid Certificate.

On Monday first year boys have a soccer match against Carrick CBS. The U14 hurlers play Middleton on Tuesday and Junior Ladies Football play against Clonakilty in their semi final on Friday.

Well done to all athletes who competed yesterday in Waterford in pretty challenging conditions!! There will be training on Monday after school and it is particularly important for all those that qualified for the Munster Schools Cross Country Championships to attend as this competition will be held on Thursday 11th in CIT. Training will also take place in Thursday after school. Please ensure you pass this information on to all those concerned!!!
