On Monday, the Spelling Bee for our first year students took place, to mark English Week. Students volunteered from each class to spell out regularly misspelled words in front of their year group. A big well done to all of our participants. 

A special mention to our two finalists, Niamh from 1F and Charles from 1E. 
Charles was our overall winner, spelling ‘bourgeois’ to win- a great achievement!

Christine Dobson spoke to the first year group about the Christmas Shoebox Appeal and the positive impact that receiving a box at Christmas from Irish people has on their lives and the delight that it brings to them. Shoeboxes can be filled now and returned to school by November 9th.

Our 5th year Biology students travelled to Fota Wildlife Park on Tuesday to undertake the ecology part of their course. While the weather wasn't on their side the experiments went well.
