During the period of online classes from January to March, third year, year head, Mr Reilly invited the 3rd year students to make a short video of themselves showcasing a talent that they have. A significant number of 3rd Year students took on the challenge and sent in their videos for the Third Year Talent Showcase. A great variety of talents were on display, from singing, shot accuracy, playing a musical instrument, art, recitations etc. Congratulations to everyone who sent in an entry. 1st place went to Ryan McGarry, 2nd to Oisin Murray, and 3rd place to Dawid Saluda. Ryan performed a super version of ‘Clouds’, which was pitch-perfect and expressive. Oisin showed his accuracy and skill with a super shot into a cement mixer. Dawid performed a finger choreography which was beautiful. Thanks to Domantas Svazas who composed the backing track for the virtual showcase.

Join us on April 27th at 630pm for a supportive and informative evening of presentations and discussions. The conversation will give parents and guardians a grounding in LGBTQ+ identity, and better prepare you to support the LGBTQ+ young person in your life. With experience working with nearly 60,000 secondary school students in Ireland, ShoutOut will explain what life is really like for young LGBTQ+ people today. We'll explain how you can make your home that bit more inclusive, how to help your LGBTQ+ kids feel more at ease, and how you can support a young person who has come out to you. We'll also hear directly from those with first-hand experience: from Haritha, a young activist navigating life in lockdown, and from Taryn de Vere, mother to a trans child, queer woman, and ally. Whether you're struggling to find the words to start these conversations, or whether you just need that extra hand, we're here to help you in your journey as a parent, guardian, and LGBTQ+ ally.
