Today (15/03/2023), we had over thirty students taking part in the annual Indoor Rowing Competition held at the Sligo Grammar School.

All students put in a massive effort in both Individual and Team events.

Special mention to the U16 Girls team who came first in their race: Claire Walsh, Sarah Walsh, Georgia McClelland, Clodagh Connelly & Emma Walsh.

Also to Gareth McGettrick who won his u14 boys indivdual event and Claire Walsh who won her u14 girls individual event.

Very well done to all students!

Lastly, huge thanks to the Sligo Rowing club for organising the event and supplying us with rowers to help students practise.

Well done to all students that participated in the Upcycling workshop and Beach clean up at Strandhill yesterday as part of the Global schools programme. The students collected over 15kg of waste and learned about the dangers of marine pollution to the sustainability of our seas and oceans. After lunch we went on a guided coastal walk toward Killaspugbrone church where Mr Lyng pointed out some geographical features along the way. It was a great day out for all staff and students .Thanks to Mr Lyng, Ms McGrath and Ms O’Donnell for leading the trip.
