Return of book rental textbooks

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s)

As the examinations have now come to an end, just a reminder that all book-rental textbooks should be returned to the school by tomorrow, Friday 23rd June.  Please ensure that all textbooks are returned in a box/bag with the students name clearly visable and that they are returned to the office between 11am and 3pm.

School PE uniform - sizing opportunity

Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

There will be another in-school opportunity to size tops on Saturday 24th June from 10:30am to 11:30am in Colaiste Muire.

 

Please see the information below provided by GRG.

 

The link to order will close on Wednesday 28th June at 8pm.https://www.grg-sports.com/ballymote

 

All products will be available in all sizes for the order link in June with delivery before the start of the school year, so there's no need to worry at this moment in time. 

 

Initials are only available on the quarter zips and T-shirts for this summer order only, they will not be available on the limited stock held through the year. Initials are not available on the pants. 

 

In the delivery section both home delivery and click and collect are available. Collection (From school option) will be at the school roughly 6 weeks after the last day of the school link, date and time to be agreed with the school. If collection date and time don’t suit, orders will be available to collect from our premises in Ballaghaderreen. Home deliveries will have a charge and will be sent straight to the customer through DPD. Click and collect throughout the year will be from our store in Ballaghaderreen. 

 

Personalised products can’t be returned or exchanged so please make sure to order the correct size.

We will hold limited stock throughout the year for parents incase replacements are needed.

Procedures during exams and after

Dear Parent/Guardian,
 
When your child is finished an exam they must leave the school premises and if they are not doing an exam, they should not be in the building at all. Congregating in the social areas/outside is not allowed. There are some students using centres near the social areas and students that are finished early are making noise and disrupting the exams. This is not fair to these pupils who are remining in the exams. Pupils' cars are not allowed onto the school grounds. Can you please ask your child to park outside the school gate. Cars driving around the school are causing noise which is disruptive to other pupils doing exams.

Junior Cert Examinations

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have noticed that a number of students are leaving their exams early after 30/40mins. During the state exams students have the choice to leave after the first 30mins, however they are always encouraged to use the full time provided. We would appreciate if you could encourage your child to remain in the exams for as long as they can to ensure that they give it their best.

Dear Parents/Guardians & Students,

We have come to the end of our school year. We would like to wish our school community a restful and enjoyable summer break.

I would like to thank all our Staff, Board of Management and Parents Association for all their work throughout the year.

Letters and information relating to our next academic year will be sent out in the coming weeks.

We would like to wish our Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students all the best in their upcoming state exams commencing next week.

Today will be the last day of school for our 3rd year students. They will then return to the school on Wednesday 7th June to begin their Junior Cycle state exams.
