Due to the worsening weather conditions, the Board of Management has made the decision that HFSS will now remain closed tomorrow, Monday, 6th of January 2025.

A further update will issue tomorrow regarding arrangements for Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding. 

Wishing everyone in our HFSS school community a very Happy New Year.  School reopens tomorrow, Monday 6th January, after the Christmas break.

We will continue to monitor weather warnings and forecasts. We will endeavour to inform parents/guardians, students and staff in a timely manner should there be any changes. Huge thanks to all who donated for the Holy Family Youth (HFY) DINING ROOM Appeal this Christmas. Fidelma was in school this week to collect the donations and wanted to thank all staff, students and their families for their generosity. Pictured with Sr. Kate and members of HFY.

Today we celebrated as a whole school community at the inaugural 'Senior Prefects Christmas Show'. What a great way to end this school term and this year together. Starting a new tradition that will, hopefully, weave its way into the story of our school traditions. Thank you all for your continued support of our school. We wish all of the staff, students and their families a peaceful, restful and enjoyable Christmas break.

Huge congrats to Éabha Brennan (3rd yr) who was named the 2024 Kildare U18 Female Athlete of the Year .She accepted her award last Sunday. Well done Éabha!

Last call for donations to support our Christmas appeal for the the Dining Room this Christmas. The HFY girls are organising this collection and are asking students to bring in just ONE item. The charity is looking for the usual Christmas treats, selection boxes, mince pies, tea, coffee, sugar etc. Any non-perishable food or toiletries would be appreciated. We are also encouraging students to think of teenagers in particular with their donations. All donations can be put into the boxes outside Ms. Allen's office. Tomorrow Tuesday 17th of December is the last day. Thanks you in advance for all your support.

Over €6000 was raised for the Parents' Association Raffle. Huge thanks to all of our sponsors and to our parent and staff body for their tremendous support. Every euro raised goes back into improving aspects of school for HFSS students. The new Fifth Year St. Vincent de Paul Team took part in their first outreach activity yesterday. They went to visit the Sisters in the Holy Family Convent next to our school. Before going, they gathered in the school oratory to light a candle for each Sister. They gifted a prayer in the shape of a love heart and card to each sister. Both the students and the Sisters had a lovely time together and we hope to visit again soon. The following are some pictures from the visit.
