Reminder: the first day for incoming 1st Years is Tuesday 29th August and is a half day from 9am to 12.30 pm.
Leaving Cert Results

The school will be open for students to collect their results on Friday 25th August from 10am.

 

All Leaving Certificate candidates will also have access to their provisional Leaving Certificate

results on the Candidate Self Service Portal at 10 AM on Friday 25 August. Candidates can

view their results and will also be able to save and/or print a Statement of Provisional Results.
Prize Presentation Dooks Outing

Congratulations to Fionán O Sullivan who won 1st prize and to all our category winners from our golf outing to Dooks this year. Fionán will now have his name engraved on the Joesph A O Dwyer memorial shield. A special word of thanks to his dad Padráig who very generously sponsored the prizes for this competition.
ISK Student Council

We would like to commend the newly reformed ISK Student Council for their outstanding achievements throughout the past year. Ran by the students, for the students, this dedicated group has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring about positive changes. Their efforts have far surpassed initial expectations, and we believe it’s important to highlight some of the remarkable tasks they have accomplished. Here are just a few of the initiatives tackled by the Student Council during the year: ·        Successfully campaigned for and secured new lockers for senior students. ·        Organized a highly successful Valentine’s Day fundraiser, raising funds for new sports equipment such as footballs, basketballs, and tennis balls for students’ use during lunchtime. Additionally, proceeds were directed towards purchasing comfortable couches for the 3rd-floor social area. ·        Actively participated in consultations regarding improvements in the school uniform. ·        Helped coordinate a Siege of Ennis fundraiser in support of Syria and Turkey. ·        Provided valuable suggestions for individual classroom improvements, addressing issues such as malfunctioning computers, speakers, projectors, and the need for blinds and clocks in specific rooms. ·        Communicated concerns to the school management through a letter regarding the Yondr pouches. ·        Established a Student Council Instagram account to foster better communication and engagement. ·        Organized a Yearbook for the outgoing 6th-year students, creating a memorable keepsake for their time at ISK. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the Student Council members for their exceptional dedication and contributions throughout the year. Thanks to their hard work, numerous improvements have been made, benefiting both students and staff alike.
First Year Boys Football

Though they fought valiantly until the end, our 1st Year Boys lost out to a strong Mercy Mounthawk team today in the 1st Year Shield Final, which took place today in Caherslee. Our thanks to all boys who came out to train all year and represented ISK with great pride!

Well done to our school band students Rian O’Sullivan, Maya Witek, Nathan Key, Shay Griffin and Daniel Coleman of the band ‘Galactic’ who took part in the Irish Youth Music Awards in Dublin at the weekend.
1st years celebrate the end of the school year

Our 1st years had great fun in the sun today as they finished up school for the summer with sports and a barbecue for students and their parents. Well done to you all in navigating your first year in secondary school. Happy holidays to all our students and staff, stay safe and enjoy the holidays!
Athletics Track and Field

Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in the South Munsters Track and Field over the last two weekends. Best of luck to Bartek Zglinski who won gold in the senior high jump with a jump of 1.75m and now progresses to the Munster finals in Castleisland this coming Saturday.
