There will be a Guard of Honour for Sean Scanlon, son of SNA Liz Scanlon, at the ISK this evening at 5.15pm as his remains are brought home to south Kerry. Apologies for the short notice, but if anyone can make it at that time, it would be appreciated.

Hard luck to our 2nd year hockey team who braved the elements today to play against a strong Scoil Mhuire side at Cork Harlequins. Final score 2-0. Well done to all the team.
Farewell to Ms. Randles

A bittersweet day in the ISK today as we said farewell to our retiring Home Economics teacher Ms. Randles after 35 years of outstanding service to the school. Ms. Randles has been a brilliant teacher as well as a superb role model for so many of our students. We wish her every good wish in the future!

Wellbeing Week 2024 On Tuesday, Coillte visited the school to deliver a talk to all First Years on its role and function. A multitude of questions were answered, before each student was presented with a sapling. Advice was also provided on how to plant the sapling, so we could make a further contribution to our future
Walk to School Day 2024

The I.S.K. will be holding it's annual Walk to School Day tomorrow Thursday October 24th. We encourage all students and staff to participate. There will be two drop off points: The Fairfield Carpark and The Track (J.P. O' Sullivan Park.) Staff may park in The Track. Thanks for your cooperation.
Junior Boys Rugby

Hard luck to our Junior Boys' rugby team, who were defeated by a physically strong Hamilton High, Bandon team today. In a high scoring game, our boys lost out 34-21.
Parents Coffee Catch Up

There will be a parents 'coffee catch up' on Wed Oct 23rd at 1.15pm in The Well - just an informal chance for any parent/guardian to pop in and meet other parents over a cuppa and cake...All parents from all years are welcome...Sometimes it is hard to meet other parents so this is a nice opportunity for that!
U21 Euro qualifier

A trip to Turners cross on Friday night for 100 boys and girls making plenty noise for the boys in green U21 Euro qualifier vs Norway. Left back Sean Roughan put Ireland ahead before Benfica star Schjelderup equalised in stoppage time. A great atmosphere created by our students and we can look forward to another trip next year. @faischools @faimunschools
