Book Donations

Our TY Localise team are looking for secondhand children’s books in excellent condition. They are taking on a project after mid-term break where they will create videos of themselves reading books for small children.
These videos and the books themselves will then be donated to the Respond (emergency accommodation and services) on Grace Park Road. At the moment the majority of children in Responds accommodation are under five. So books should be appropriate for small children please.
We would ask that the books are in excellent condition to pass on. All donations may be left in the donation box outside the school office by the front door. The school will be closed over mid term, but the box is there now for donations today or tomorrow. And donations will be accepted all week 22nd to 26th of February.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Transition Year students are taking part in Work Experience and following the schools Work Skills programme these two weeks. On Wednesdays they have a Well-being day. Last week they baked for family, wrote cards and letters to loved ones, relaxed, meditated, took time out to read and create, made someone feel good and even had a little self pampering time! Well done to all TY students for embracing the opportunities these programmes are offering.

Wishing all in Holy Faith, Clontarf, a happy St Brigid's Day. The day traditionally marks the end of winter and the start of spring. This year in particular we welcome new beginnings, growth, light and healing.
Prayer to Saint Brigid
Brigid,
You were a woman of peace.
You brought harmony where
there was conflict.
You brought light to the darkness.
You brought hope to the downcast.
May the mantle of your peace cover
those who are troubled and anxious,
and may peace be firmly rooted
in our hearts and in our world.
Inspire us to act justly and
to reverence all God has made.
Brigid, you were a voice for
the wounded and the weary.
Strengthen what is weak within us.
Calm us into a quietness
that heals and listens.
May we grow each day into greater
wholeness in mind, body and spirit.
Amen.

Remote learning survey and protocol reminder
Created : 20 Jan 2021, 6:06 PM
Archived : 28 Mar 2021, 12:00 AM
The Department of Education Inspectorate have produced a survey to gather parents views on remote teaching and learning. This survey closed on Friday 22nd January. Thank you to those who submitted responses.
A reminder that, as stated in point 5 in the school's protocols for remote e-learning, 'live classes should be viewed by the student from the class only and no other members of the household'. It has come to our attention that some students are not following this protocol. We would like to remind parents and students of the importance of this. We will discuss this further with students at their next assembly.
