A big congratulations to Kate McGovern (3rd year). Kate’s poem that she wrote in 1st year, a week after starting in Holy Faith, has been published in the new edition of the ‘Fire and Ice’ textbook. It is now being used to teach the young people of Ireland how to rhyme! Well done Kate.

Return after absence form - 5th year students

Dear parent, please note that the return after absence form must be filled in for 5th year students prior to their return to school on Monday. The form is available on the app and can be filled in via the app. Students cannot return to school if we have not received this note. We are looking forward to their return on Monday and would like to commend them on their engagement with online learning to date.
Information regarding Leaving Certificate Candidate Portal

The Leaving Certificate Candidate portal will open at 12 Noon on Wednesday 10 March and close at 6 pm on Tuesday 16 March. The Leaving Certificate Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) can be accessed at www.examinations.ie or www.gov.ie/LeavingCertificate. Click on ‘Leaving Certificate Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) 2021’. To assist Candidates the SEC has prepared a step by step ‘Before You Start Guide’ which is attached, all students should read this guide before they commence the registration process on the Candidate Self Service Portal. There is also a short information leaflet attached for parents.

Language Pathways Competition winner.

Congratulations to Catherine McCluskey in 6th Year who won first prize in the Languages Pathways Competition. Inspired by the Persian quote « A new language is a new life » Catherine submitted a video of herself speaking in French and Spanish with her thoughts on the matter. The judges really enjoyed her fun, multilingual and creative entry. She will receive her prize at an online awards ceremony on Monday 8th March. Bravo Catherine, this is well deserved !

Sophie Greene and Aideen Brunicardi walk 42km in aid of Merchants Quay Ireland

Well done to Sophie Greene and Aideen Brunicardi, 1st year students, who walked 42 km on Sunday 7th February in -3 degrees, in aid of Merchants Quay Ireland. It took them 11 hours from 8am to 7 pm - all within their 5 kms zone . They raised approximately €2000 for the organisation, A fantastic achievement - well done!
