Student Council Food Drive

Our Student Council arranged this years food drive and the response was phenomenal. Huge thanks to our students and their families for the generous donations. Fergal from the Main Street Food Bank was delighted to receive the parcels on Friday morning. It was great to see such kindness and generosity from everyone. Christmas Raffle Prizes

We held our Christmas raffle in the school on Tuesday afternoon. The raffle was very kindly organised by the Parent and Student Councils. Pictured are our Student Council members and the lucky prize winners. The first prize of €1000 was won by Caitriona Forde. Her son James won a pair of Apple airpods. The second prize of a Ninja Blender and Soup Maker went to Deborah Noone (Senan Noone, 4E), The third prize of a Shark Vacuum Cleaner was won by Michelle Conway (Cillian Davy 4F). The fourth prize of a Ninja Smoothie Maker was won by Grainne Grace (Aidan Grace 2F). Class 2C are the lucky winners of a pizza party in the new year for having the highest ticket sales! As TY students prepare for their upcoming portfolio assessment, it is important they follow the steps outlined in the linked videos below. These videos explain how to: 1. Adjust the sharing settings for their projects on display on their portfolio. 2. Fill in the Projects & Goals Sheet and display this on the homepage of their portfolio. 3. Submit the published link to their portfolio to me using the Google Form available in their Tutorials Classroom. On behalf of Naas CBS, the prefects presented a €2000 cheque to John Miley of St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our SVP Rag Day collection. The money raised will help SVP to assist families in need this Christmas. Thanks to Ms. K. Phibbs and the prefects for organising the Rag Day.

1st Year Table Quiz on Tuesday 14th

The Meitheal Leaders have organised a table quiz for 1st Years tomorrow. Classes 1A, 1B and 1C will participate from 11.15 to 1.00 and 1D, 1E and 1F will attend from 2.00 to 3.45. The Meitheal Leaders will collect their group from the classroom and accompany them to the assembly hall. Thanks to the Meitheal Team for their great work in organising this event for 1st Years. We travelled to Athlone Town FC Stadium to take on Athlone Community College, in the last 16 of the Leinster Senior Cup. Goals from Matthew McCarrick and Adam Maguire sealed a 2-0 victory.
