Archived : 25 Apr 2021, 12:00 AM
The English Department encourages all students to get involved in the Naas CBS World Book Day competition. World Book Day will be held on Thursday the 4th of March and promotes the importance of reading, if ever there was a need for escapism now is the time. "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, the man who never reads lives only one." We would suggest that everyone picks up a book on World Book Day and for all students to get involved in the competition. There will be a prize awarded for the most creative entry in each year group. Closing date for entry is Friday the 5th of March. Students can enter via their respective English teachers Google Classroom. Please see the PDF attached below for information. Good luck and remember the more creative the better.

A huge thank you is owed to the Queally Group who year on year provide huge support to the school, and in particular to our Transition Year students who manage to avail of the placement opportunities they provide for them. We specifically want to thank Marie Reilly who coordinates the Queally Group TY programme and who goes above and beyond for the lads. This year the Queally Group have organised a virtual TY programme which will give some of our students experience in in understanding the food product development process and the areas that support it. They go the extra mile for our students and it is very much appreciated.
