Debs (LC Class 2020-2021)

To the Leaving Certificate Class of 2020 - 2021, We hope this message finds you all keeping well. Your Debs was provisionally scheduled for October 8th 2021. As you may be aware, covid restrictions are impacting on the Keadeen Hotel's ability to run with any form of a 'normal' Debs on this date. We were very lucky to secure the 22nd October as a possible date to reschedule the Debs and hopefully put in place an evening in which the class of 2020 - 2021 can attend and possibly bring partners too (based on restrictions with numbers attending). We apologise for the delay in contacting you but we have been in continuous contact with the hotel and hoped that our first contact with you in regards to the Debs would be a more definite plan. Unfortunately, for the moment, all that we can communicate is the new date of October 22nd. The hotel is awaiting guidelines from the HSE and Failte Ireland and we will be in touch as soon as we have clarification. We appreciate your patience and hope that we can celebrate the class of 2020 - 2021 on October 22nd. Kind regards, The Debs Committee
First Year School Tour

Dear 1st Year Parents/ Guardians, The first year school tour is now full as there were only 65 places available. Demand this year was unprecedented. It is regretful and unfortunate that we cannot accommodate any more than 65. On the day that the link went live the tour companies system was not able to cope with the volume of traffic. This is regrettable and we tried to see if the organising company could rectify this. There was nothing that could be done on their part. We realise this was very frustrating for parents. Thanks for your understanding and patience. To those who could not register there will be a waiting list of names and these can be selected if other students pull out. For example if one student has to pull out then all the names on the waiting list will go in a hat and one is selected and so on depending on whether students pull out, which has happened in the past. Please email Mr Noone directly to put your son’s name on the waiting list. tn@naascbs.ie Those of you who have emailed already expressing an interest in a waiting list place have been placed on the list. Once again, many thanks for your patience and understanding. Mr Noone and the organising committee.

Puncture Repair Demonstration by Mr. Kelly

Following Bike Week and the inevitability of punctures, Mr. Kelly kindly gave a demonstration on how to fix a puncture. There was a great turn out of Naas CBS students and a valuable life skill taught. Jamie Moore did a wonderful job of capturing the event through the series of photos attached. The Green School Committee would like to thank Mr Kelly for offering up his lunch time to give this informative demonstration. They would also like to thank the lads who took the time to attend the demonstration. The more punctures that are fixed the more cyclists we will have out in our community!
