A huge thanks to the local businesses that sponsored raffle prizes in our staff fundraiser for the all-weather pitch. Thanks to Mr. Joyce, Mr. Whelan, Ms. Ward, Mr. Fitzgibbon and Mr. Dunne for organising the raffle and to all staff who supported the raffle by selling tickets. A phenomenal €10,500 was raised towards the cost of the all-weather pitch.

Thanks to the teachers and parents who attended our Sports Awards yesterday evening. It was a great opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the wonderful sporting success of Naas CBS teams in 2023-2024.
Medals were presented to three successful teams: the Senior Football Team (Leinster Champions), the U-16 Football Team (South-Leinster Champions) and the 1st Year Soccer Team (Midlands League Winners).
Congratulations to the students involved and to the teachers who coached them during the year: Mr. Hughes and Mr. Moore (Senior Football); Mr. Joyce, Mr. McGuinness and Mr. Cullagh (U-16 Footaball); Ms. Kilcoyne and Mr. O' Neill (1st Year Soccer).
From April 17th to 24th, Naas CBS welcomed students from Philipp Freiherr von Boeselager Realschule in Ahrweiler, Germany, for an enriching exchange.
Immersed in Irish culture, the German students bonded with their host families, explored Co. Wicklow's Avondale Treetop Walk and admired Dublin's skyline from Croke Park. Weekends were filled with many adventures. On Tuesday our German visitors learned how to play Gaelic Football, which they enjoyed immensely. The training session was planned and conducted by the Irish students on site. In the end, there was even an exciting game in which mixed teams competed against each other.
A heartfelt thank you to all involved, especially the host families, for fostering friendships and cultural understanding. Until next time!
Ms. Lonergan
