We recently held our presentation for our Irish and English Debating Teams. Debating is a long standing tradition in our school and we are delighted to have two teams again this year.

The award for Speaker of the Year is in memory of Cormac Clare. We are honoured to remember such a fantastic young man. This award went to Ruairí McTague in 6th Year.

Well done to all the students involved, for their commitment and contribution to debating in the school.

1st Years participated in a Tag Rugby Blitz on Friday. It was a wonderful day and the games were played in great spirit. Congratulations to 1A who were the overall winners. The great success was due to the excellent leadership shown by both the 1st Year boys assigned those roles and the T.Y. students who mentored them. Huge thank you to both Ms. Gully and Mr. Joyce who were the referees for the day; they did a great job.

Our Student Council had their final and most important meeting of the school year on Thursday. It was an opportunity to reflect on all the hard work they have done to represent the student body and help make a difference to daily life in our school. It was also a nice moment to thank our outgoing Chairperson Barney Hennessy and present him with a small token of appreciation for his dedication and commitment these past few years. The Student Council would also like to thank vice-chairman Jamie Moore as well as members Ruairi McTague and Evan Dalton and wish them all the best in their exams and beyond.
