Parents Helping Parents - Tuesday 2nd of April in Naas CBS at 7.30pm. Speakers: John Doran (brief bio below), Kathleen O'Toole Brennan - Trinity College, Frank Murphy - Chairman Parent's Council, Fiachra Woodhouse - Past Pupil. This talk will provide an opportunity to ask questions about challenges that may face parents and students transitioning into college. It will also give parents an insight into how they can support their son throughout the exam process and the transition into 3rd level. The talk will also consider related costs from a parent and student point of view. John Doran is author of ‘The Ways to Well-Being’, which is designed to help 15-18 year olds explore how to maintain their own sense of well-being, leading to improved academic outcomes in school and a sense of accomplishment in life. Currently taught in over 140 schools, including Naas CBS, both here and in mainland Europe, the content is designed around five core areas of life which affect well-being; · Our relationship with life · Relationship with emotions · Relationship with mind-set, meaning and purpose · Relationship with past, present and future · Relationship with personality, talent and performance. Looking forward to seeing you there. Parent's Council
