Online correction of some State Exams

Leaving Cert Biology, Maths, Chemistry, Physics and LCVP will be corrected online this year. This means that the papers will be scanned first and will then be corrected online. There is a new form of answer book which is a little different from previous booklets - students must use blue or black pens (or pencils for drawings and graphs) and must use a new page for each answer. Graph paper is included in the answer book and loose graph pages will not be provided. Students should not write outside of the indicated spaces as there is a risk that all of their responses will not be seen by the examiners. Junior Cycle French, English, Science and Business Studies will also be corrected online.. All the above information will be repeated by the exam superintendent for each exam.

Tomorrow, Thursday 9th May, is the day that all TY students are involved in Teaching Global Goals to our First Year students. This is a compulsory part of the World Development Module which they have been involved in over the past year. All of the TYs have been assigned groups for this teaching day and I would hope that you will assist us in making sure that there will be a full attendance for it. Again to remind everyone that the Portfolio interviews and assessments are just around the corner and you can be of great assistance to your son by checking that all his project work, assignments and compulsory pieces are up to date. Thanking you. NR
