Dear Parents/Guardians and students, Hope this message finds you well. As we come to the end of our school year I want to thank you for your patience, dedication and support to all of us in Naas CBS. The last few months have been especially challenging but we got through it together. There is a wonderful synergy at work with all stakeholders in the CBS and that helps sustain us all in times like this and for that I am very grateful. I wish all of our students and their families a lovely summer with the hope that we can return to some level of normality in the autumn. We will keep you informed and updated as we receive information through the summer. Many thanks and take care, Ben Travers

Reminder 6th Years - Calculated Grades Student Portal

Archived : 28 Jul 2020, 12:00 AM
A reminder to all Leaving Certificate students that the Calculated Grades Student Portal for Leaving Certificate 2020 Calculated Grades closes at 10pm tonight, Thursday 28 May It is essential that students register on the portal at this time and, as required, confirm their levels. The sooner that this is done, the sooner the Calculated Grades Executive Office can provide schools with confirmation of final subject levels for students so that schools can complete their task of providing an estimated percentage mark and class rank order for each student Later on, students will use the portal to opt to receive calculated grades, to access their calculated grades, and to access later stages of the process such as the appeal procedures. This is a tight time-frame, so students need to gather the following information before commencing the registration process; - their Leaving Certificate examination number - their Personal Public Service (PPS) number (which they need to create a Personal Identification Number) - an email address to which they will have regular access over the coming months - their mobile telephone number. There is Helpdesk support available to students by telephone and email. Please note that due to COVID19 restrictions the helpdesk phonelines (1800-111135 or 1800-111136) are available between 9.00 am and 5 pm each day. Outside of these hours, students can email lcsupport2020@education.gov.ie.

Huge congratulations and well done to all staff and students involved in successfully achieving the Green Schools Water Awareness Flag. A tremendous effort from the Green Schools Committee and staff was required throughout the year for this wonderful achievement. Please see information below from the committee in regards to the work achieved: We were finally awarded the flag after two hard years work. This years flag was about the theme of Water and water conservation. We’ve started off with a small committee made up of 6-7 members. Ms. Cowper has helped us along the way and she guided us in the right direction and we appreciate all the work she has put in. Our chairman, Barney Hennessy (2nd Year) has put in tremendous work as well, helping us to get the flag. Our secretary, Jamie Moore (2nd Year) has also helped a lot to make sure all of our ideas are recorded and that we make sure that our school community is informed in what we do. We would also like to thank our committee members Sam Boyle (2nd Year), Adam Lamont (2nd Year), Conor Murphy (2nd Year), Piotr Filipek (2nd Year) and Phillip Byrne (1st Year) Some events we’ve organized are: Walk for Water, Water Awareness Display, Fashion and Climate Change Display, Climate Change Protest and a Water Awareness Day. greenschoolsireland.org/green-flag-2020-congratulations/ Thank you so much for your help, Green School Committee
