Many thanks to Audrai O Dwyer and Brian Quigley @skbioteck who brought the 5th and 6th year Chemistry class on a very enjoyable tour of the pharmaceutical plant where they met the Chemists and learned about the drug making process on the site.
Transition Year Tech Club

Our transition year students started a tech club ‘cyber seniors’ with the Friends of the Elderly this week. Our TY students will host a 6 week workshop with the friends of the elderly. We hope to use our knowledge of technology to help the seniors to stay connected with friends and family and stay engaged in the fast changing digital world which we live in today. #bridgingthedigitaldivide #digitalinclusion #friendsoftheelderly #technology

Transition Year students @mountcarmel18 visited the Criminal Court of Justice this week on Parkgate Street, Dublin 8. They were fortunate to observe proceedings take place in a few courtrooms and were intrigued by the array of career opportunities available in this sector. Thanks to Mr. Coleman for organising this outing. #justice

This week our Theatre Club with Ms. Kehoe attended The Sound of Music with both students and parents attending. This event took place in The Bórd Gáis Energy Theatre and the hills were certainly alive with the sound of music

To end our week of Happiness @mountcarmel18 enjoyed Secret Santa in their tutor groups, prize giving organised by Ms. Cleary and our wonderful Carol Service by the RE dept. and under the musical direction of Ms. McCartin. @rtenews junior were there to record and this will broadcast on RTÉ2 at 4.20pm today!
