Mount Carmel Secondary School school will be offering After School Study facilities this academic year. This facility will provide students with an opportunity to develop a structured approach to their studies in preparation for their state and school examinations. After school study will take place at Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 3:45 p.m - 5:45 p.m Wednesday at 1:15 p.m - 3:15 p.m Please contact Mr. Dermody or Ms. Weir if you require more information.

There was a great turn out today for our new Gaelic Football team in Mount Carmel. This is a great opportunity for students to participate in and we hope that more girls will get involved in the team in the coming weeks. If you would like to join please sign up with Ms. Byrne or Ms. Kennedy.

Our digital champions got to showcase their projects in Google’s foundry to the Minister for Digital Development, Séan Canney. They also got to hear presentations from Google, Samsung, You Tube and RTE. Congratulations to all the students on their fantastic work throughout the year.

Last Night Mount Carmel welcomed over 120 parents to hear a presentation from Conor @JigsawDubCity on mental health awareness in teenagers. Thanks to Mr. Justin Dermody HSCL for organising this successful evening.

Ty students competed in a St. Valentine's Day bake off! Shannon Dickson from TU, Dublin’s School of Culinary Arts kindly judged the competition and spoke to the girls about her own culinary experience. Well done to Mumina, Nichapa, Faith and Veenosha who will all go to a competition in March in Cathal Brugha Street!
