Two teams from Tarbert Comprehensive compete in Kerry Junior Cycle History Quiz in presentation Tralee. One group missed out on qualifying for Dublin Finals by one mark. All students enjoyed a great night. thanks History club members for their help.

World Book Day Ireland is this Thursday March 5th. There are loads of ways to get involved. Enter our Bookmark design competition or our Text Tales competition, take part in the Treasure Hunt in the Library on Thursday at lunchtime, join one of the school's book clubs, and especially for First Years, take part in our Booky Quiz on Thursday after break. All details on the notice boards. Remember: Readers are Leaders!!!!!!

Health Promotion Day 5

A great end to Health Promotion Week - all classes completed the CPR training, the TYs completed a 5km walk/run, the senior boys took on and defeated the staff in a friendly soccer game, students and teachers were wearing red in support of the Irish Heart Foundation and healthy lunch boxes were on display, quizzes were completed and the final thought for the day was given. There was a great atmosphere in the school all week as both staff and students got involved in all the activities. Congratulation to all who got involved in any of the events or activities. And a big thank you to the Health Promotion Team for their great work in organising such a great Health Promotion Week.

University of Limerick - Accommodation for First Year Students

• The first year lottery will be open for the month of March • Students wishing to enter the Accommodation lottery will need to register a username & password once applications open at www.studentliving.ul.ie • Once registered applicants should log in and apply for Academic year 2020-21 • Applicants will be required to select village & shared/private room preferences – specific apartment / house types will not be available to select • The maximum price will be shown per preference • There are rooms available for 1st year students in all villages • Preferences should be made on location & price • There is a section to enter requests; for example requests to live with a friend • A non-refundable application fee of €50 is required to enter the lottery.

A reminder that tomorrow students can wear their tracksuits instead of uniforms and are encouraged to Wear something Red for Feb to signify the Irish Heart Foundation. CPR training for LC2 students continues and we will have the funky lunch box competition. Class quizzes continue the Senior men will take on the Senior boys at indoor soccer in the school gym at lunch time.
