When we were at school it was easy to separate our study time with our time to relax. Now that we have to study from home full time, that line has become blurred. The following tips may help to keep you on track: * Study as normal and take breaks. * Set realistic goals and try not to be hard on yourself. * Make use of online resources. * Make your study space a bright positive space. * Eat well and stay hydrated. * Reward yourself when you have achieved your daily study goals. * Go outside and enjoy the fresh air (stay within your 2 km radius ☺) We have to remember to look after ourselves and look after each other. If you or anyone you know feel overwhelmed, you should talk to a trusted friend or family member, or if you don’t feel comfortable doing that there are lots of resources that are available so you can speak to someone non-judgmentally about anything that is bothering you. If you need to speak to someone, contact: Aware 1800 80 48 48 (depression, anxiety) Samaritans 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.ie Pieta House 1800 247 247 or email mary@pieta.ie (suicide, self-harm) Teen-Line Ireland 1800 833 634 (for ages 13 to 18) Childline 1800 66 66 66 (for under 18s) Email Mrs. Griffin in the Guidance Dept You can also take a look at some very helpful articles available on SpunOut.ie Continue to make time for your hobbies as a way of de-stressing from study, exams and from coronavirus anxiety in general. Self care is so important, especially during these upsetting times. It’s important for us all to look after our mental and physical well being because we are all facing this pandemic together. If you need help, advice or support you may contact Mrs. Griffin through the school approved email, during normal school hours. Remember, stay home, stay safe, social distance and wash your hands! Best wishes to all.

Coming to the end of another week of digital teaching and learning where we have all faced different challenges and are doing our best to overcome these challenges it is great to see the weather has improved. However, this brings its own challenge as we are more inclined to get out and about. It is important that we all play our role and follow the social distancing obligations that we all have. It is so important not to meet up with friends or in groups. Look at the picture it will show how social distancing will prevent many others from being infected and save the lives of many.

Good morning all, I hope you and your family are well after the weekend. We have had very good engagement from students last week. It's important that we keep this going. For those of you yet to fully engage its time to self discipline and get the routine going. It's time to make a better effort this week. Remember classes are being thought and you are missing out on learning. Classes will run again this week according to the school timetable. If you miss out on your class it is an unfair expectation to ask your teacher for homework or work covered. (If you are unwell let the school know and your teachers will be informed and will help you what way they can) As it is in school, it is your responsibility to be in class and to catch up on homework. That may require you getting in contact with classmates for classwork and homework.. Also remember, its important to take some time for exercise and fresh air if possible. Have a quick look again at the coping calendar it will help. Best of luck for the week ahead. Keep safe.

Good afternoon all, as we come to an end of our first full week of online communication, virtual teaching and learning I would like to say well done to all who have stood up to the challenge. You have been doing a great job. I believe as we go into next week and until we get back into our real classrooms we will get better at our digital engagement. As we have said from the beginning it is so important to stick to our scheduled timetable. It gives us routine. The teachers are running classes according to these timetables and are reporting back to me how impressed they are with your engagement. I am a little concerned however, that some of you are emailing your teachers late into the night. I don't think this is good for you or indeed your teachers. So from now on, lets keep our emails to class time (unless your  teacher specifies another time), remember if you were in school your teacher would collect your homework during class time and not at midnight or indeed 5a.m. Click on the pdf below  below and it will help you to schedule your emails.  Finally we are at the weekend,  everyone take a look at the chart that Mrs. Griffin is sending out this evening. Its good for us all and reminds of  the important things we need to do to stay safe and well. We must remember not to gather in groups and remember to socially isolate. We need to play our part in keeping everyone safe.  Take care.RegardsMs. Moloney
