Yesterday our 5th year Art students took on Storm Brendan, on their Art History trip to Newgrange Passage Grave in the Boyne Valley, Co. Meath. It was windy, wonderful day! Great experience for the girls. Enjoyed by everyone!

Congratulations to all Scoil Chríost Rí students who took part in our recent Space competition. The girls had to design their own constellation using the stars from the big dipper. First place went to Hazell Chivers (1D) for her amazing design. Runner up prizes are awarded to Melody Cissy (1D) and Aodha Griffin (1C). On Thursday our TYs completed Develop Me Workshops in Team Building and Leadership. With emphasis on time management, project management and leadership, this workshop was a great experiential learning experience. A very enjoyable day was had by all.

Our Concern debating team with their teacher debating against St Leo’s Carlow. Unfortunately the team were unsuccessful against a strong opposition but they debated brilliantly.

Congratulations to our 5th and 6th Year students, Lisa Keane, Sarah Larkin, Jenny Murphy and Rebecca Reddin who have been selected to play on the Leinster Interprovincial Post-Primary Senior Football Team. A fantastic achievement for all the ladies, all great ambassadors for the school’s tradition of Gaelic Football.

The Development Education Committee have used a grant to purchase stainless steel cutlery and to bring about an end to the use of single use plastics in our school. They are promoting the Sustainable Development Goal ,ethical consumption and production this year and are optimistic in their endeavours to combat climate change and reduce our carbon footprint. Well done girls and teacher Ann Byrne.
