It's been over a year since four students; Shauna Jager,Tara Frehill, Eithne Murray and Emily Browne all currently in sixth year won five Irish Angus calves. The girls were presented the calves at the Ploughing Championships 2015 where they spent three days at a stand making a start on their promotion. Along with rearing the calves to slaughter, being the only urban school in the competition, their theme is promoting the Certified Irish Angus Beef brand which they have been doing in school and in the local area. This is an ongoing competition between the girls and four other teams, where as well as the money earned from the calves there is a further prize of €2,000 for the winning team. To give them your support it would be much appreciated if you could follow them on their social media linked below: www.facebook.com/allaboutangus www.twitter.com/olsangus instagram : @allaboutirishangus snapchat: @olsangus
