Our Lady's School participated in the annual Model United Nations conference at Rathdown School (RADMUN) this weekend with fantastic results. Ten students from 4th and 5th year represented the countries of Venezuela and Pakistan with Marie Bishop (B5) and Aimee Murphy (B5) being awarded Distinguished Delegate certificates. We also had the only resolution to pass the General Assembly with Aimee Murphy's resolution on deforestation on behalf of Pakistan. Congratulations!

A massive congratulations to Jennifer Hanrahan who is now the Irish Champion in the Combined Events Athletics competition. This means that she excels at Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, 800m and hurdles. This is an amazing achievement.
She has now got both Leinster and Irish gold medals and will go on to represent Ireland and OLS in an International competition next week.

Brian from Nore Valley Park Pet Farm and Activity Centre Kilkenny arrived today to OLS and spoke to Ms Flannery's Ag science class on how to hatch out the eggs and look after the chicks when they hatch. The girls learned all about eggs, the difference between fertile & infertile eggs, breeding, egg structure and development, importance or humidity and turning the eggs, not to mention how to feed the chicks when they hatch. So they'll be total EGGsperts when the chicks go back to the pet farm!
