Digital Champions Poster Competition

The Digital Champions reminded their Second year Form classes today about the significance of having a positive digital footprint and behaving in a respectful manner in all online interactions. This culminated in a poster competition where Second years designed messages to raise awareness about being a responsible digital citizen. The winners are: Alison Dillon B2, Rachel Dunne C2, Sophia Mullaly L2, Aimee Broderick M2 and Alana Condon P2. Well done!
Arts and Crafts Club

Yesterday we had our first arts and crafts club meeting where we made origami butterflies, crowns and bookworms! Next week we'll be making bird feeders! All years are welcome to come along and can sign up in the library!

A reminder that the Active Consent information webinar is this evening. Details: As part of your daughter's Relationships and Sexuality Education this year, she will partake in a programme called Active Consent, which is devised by a team of specialists in NUIG for Transition Year students. Our TY students benefitted hugely from this workshop last year. While our current TYs will not be partaking in the workshop until after Christmas, the Active Consent Team is running a parents' information session on Thursday, 11th November at 7pm remotely to explain the content of the course. Senior Camogie Match

Today our Senior Camogie team played against Colmcilles. It was a great match but unfortunately we narrowly missed out on the win. Well done to all the girls who played!
Whole School Dodgeball Tournament

The ASF class is running a whole school dodgeball tournament from the 15th to the 23rd of November. They will be dropping in to all PE classes throughout that week to explain the rules and find a class champion. All class champions will compete with each other at lunch to claim the title of ultimate dodgeball champion and go head to head in a final against the teachers. You don't want to miss it! And remember to stay active!

Last week we celebrated reading week here in OLS. It was a week full of competitions and activities. We had scavenger hunts, Guess the Teacher, Baking, Bookmark Design, Room Decorating and much much more.
