Today saw the launch of the Food Village service here in CPC with close to 100 students availing of the lunch menu. Initial reactions were extremely positive with students saying how impressed they were with both the variety available and the size of the portions. For anyone who missed the information sessions last week you can download the App and get started at home. Extra key fobs that are used to collect your order will be available by the end of the week. Important Note: If you have ordered lunch and are going to be absent you can cancel your order before 9am on the day. This results in a partial refund to your account. If the order is not cancelled you will be charged the full amount as the lunch has been prepared and is here waiting for you.

Following on from the success of our last collection, the CPC parents association have arranged to hold another collection on Saturday 21st of January. It's the perfect time of year to declutter those wardrobes and presses! Just gather together any unwanted clothes, shoes and clean soft toys, bag them up and bring them to the bike shelter at the top of the avenue into the school between 10 - 4pm. This fundraiser supports not only our PA but also the Laura Lynn foundation. All donations greatly appreciated.

Mock exams - important information and payment details
Created : 12 Jan 2023, 4:32 PM
Archived : 01 Mar 2023, 12:00 AM
Dear Parents/Guardians, I hope you are keeping well. As notified also via email, I am writing to you with regard to the Mock Exams which will take place in the coming weeks (Junior Cycle 3rd - 10th Feb, Leaving Certificate 30th Jan - 10th Feb, Leaving Certificate Applied 7th - 10th Feb). The mock exams provide an important objective and independent assessment in each subject as the exam papers for the mocks are set and marked by teachers outside the school. A small number of teachers set and correct their own exams as it suits the subject better. This is factored into the cost. This gives each student a very accurate idea of how well their study and revision is progressing. In this regard students establish clearly the areas in each subject where they need to focus. It helps teachers also to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching and learning of their subject. Arising from the cost of buying the papers and paying for their correction, the cost is: €110 per student in 3rd year €126 per student in 6th year €70 per student in 6L This needs to be paid by Monday 13th February 2023 at the latest please. Please pay Mock Exam Fees through the shop link you receive through the school app. If for any reason you are unable to do this please contact the school office to arrange an alternative method. There is an option to pay in full or in two instalments. Unfortunately, while medical cards may cover the cost of State Examinations the same facility is not available for the mocks. The school can not cover the cost of mock exams so it is essential that payment is received in order to facilitate correction for your son/daughter. Yours Sincerely Joe Leonard Principal
