During today's class meeting time all students had an opportunity to reflect on how they prepare for exams and to look at some tips that may help. As we move into the final term of the school year there will be an increased focus on assessments in all our subjects. These assessments will come in a variety of forms; some subjects will include projects. presentations, written work as part of their end of year exams. Be sure to check in with your student and see how they are preparing for this busy time. As ever, thank you for your support for all the work we do here in CPC.

Good afternoon all, I am pleased to let you know that subject preferences are now open for your son/daughter to indicate the subjects they would like to study for Leaving Certificate. Please log in to VsWare (parents/guardians) Select Student Options, read the instructions and select subject preferences with your son/daughter from the drop down menus. Please remember it is vital that you choose a subject for all spaces. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. The order of your preferences is important, please consider carefully the subjects you most want to do. Preference number 1 is the subject you most want to do etc. This is not a race, entering preferences quickly does not impact at all on getting a subject so please take your time but be sure to enter preferences by Wednesday 6th April. Incomplete subject preferences will be completed on your behalf. Kind regards J Leonard

In glorious sunshine, our 1st Year Boys rugby team today arrived at Athy Rugby Club to participate in the Harry Nicholls Cup, a tournament comprising schools from all over the North Midlands. The day started with two pool matches, a tough fought 12-12 draw against Mountrath Community School was followed up by a 12-0 win against St Kevin's Community College, Dunlavin. This was enough to get us through to the Cup Semi-Finals, where we met Ardscoil na Tríonóide of Athy. A fantastic 19-7 win led us to the final, against St Mary's CBS, Portlaoise. At this point the boys had really found their rhythm and ran out 15-0 winners! A brilliant day out was had, and what a result to return home with the Harry Nicholls Cup safely in hand. This group of boys have been a pleasure to work with. Their adherence to the laws of the game, as well as their willingness to work for each other was noted by the Leinster coaches present today. Their result today has me very, very excited for the future of rugby in CPC Kilcullen! Well done boys! Mr O'Grady.
