Parachutists spotted in CPC

In science class Peter and Tavian have been conducting an experiment in which their aim was to find out what makes a good parachute. They made different sized and shaped parachutes and used a number of different materials. Their results were based on the speed at which the parachute fell from the top floor of the school. Looks like great fun, well done to all involved.

South Leinster Athletics Day 1

Sport
Six athletes from CPC competed in the first day of the South Leinsters in Waterford RSC today. In what were very challenging conditions all athletes performed incredibly well and gave it their all. In total three gold medals and a bronze were won highlighting the talent and dedication amongst the students. Well done to Ella Duane, James Deane, Kyle Walsh, Mark Webster, Jill O’Toole and Hannah Breen. Day 2 takes place next Thursday for our Senior students.

Special Olympics Collection

TY students assisted with the Special Olympics collection in Kilcullen on Friday 20th April. The residents of and visitors to Kilcullen were generous as always by contributing over €1000 to this worthy cause.
TY Community Care group visit Willowbrook Nursing Home

Students from the Community Care class were accompanied by their teacher Ms Grier Gray to visit the residents of Willowbrook Nursing Home yesterday. It was a lovely experience with singing and chat.
