Active Learning Stools Fundraiser

Sincere thanks to everyone who supported our Book Sale, Cake Sale and Pop up Coffee shop in aid of Active Learning Stools by donating books, baking cakes and attending the event. We raised €500. Particular thanks to Mary McLaughlin for all her hard work and Gordon Thompson for sponsoring the Nespresso Coffee. Raffle tickets will be on sale until the end of term. Our prizes include a beautiful picnic basket and Afternoon tea at Kildare Farm Foods Tractor Cafe. One strip €2, three strips for €5. Donations of money gratefully accepted. We look forward to running another book sale shortly. Details to follow. Thank you.

Quentin Doran O’Reilly heads up Samsung Development and he offered a futuristic landscape of the future of technology. Quentin a past pupil of Cross & Passion College took time to meet with and offer encouragement to our Digital Champions. He was help to offer advice on a snag encountered. We will hope to see him return to CPC in the future.
Aoife Brennan also a past pupil was the teacher accompanying balbriggan. So all in all CPC really well represented today

Minister impressed by CPC Digital Champions in The Carlton Hotel today. We have three teams here among the fifty schools . There are schools from Cobh to Letterkenny and Louth to Clare. The place is a buzzing hive of activity. The are simply great ideas being developed and people are sharing ideas and solutions to common problems. A truly great day.

CPC support Kilcullen in Bloom which launched Friday 4th May in The Hideout. Kilcullen Community Action announced some very exciting projects and we look forward to getting involved.

5th Year students Danny O’Grady, Rachael McDonald and Amie Dempsey attended a creative writing workshop with Iva Yates in University of Limerick, followed by a talk with acclaimed author Anna Carey. Well done to all involved and thank you to our hosts in UL.

The CPC Sports Awards will take place on the evening of the 14th of May where we will celebrate the achievements and efforts of the students. The start time is 7:30.
'Civvies' Day May 11th

There will be a 'Civvies' Day for students this Friday, 11th May, in aid of Global Schoolroom and Hope(D).

South Leinster Athletics Day 2

Day 2 of the South Leinster Athletics took place yesterday in Waterford RSC. Seven CPC students made the journey worth while with each individual picking up a medal. All seven athletes now move onto the Leinster Finals. Well done everyone. The CPC team were John Healy, Eoghan McGrath, Mollie Aspell, Ella Duane, Inez Duane, Grace O’Toole and Ellie O’Toole.
