Green Schools National Tree Week

This week we are marking National Tree Week by having a photography competition. The theme of the competition is “Trees” The photo must have a tree in it...whether it is a tree on its own like a mighty oak or a grove of ash trees, you can have people and objects or other plants - you can decide. So get out and enjoy the good weather and take a snap or 2 as you go. This competition is open to students and staff with a selection of prizes to be won. Please send your entries with your name and class to ann.osullivan@blackwatercs.com or sheena.wilkinson@blackwatercs.com by this Friday March 26th. Best of Luck everyone

Dear Parents and Guardians,
On Thursday, the 25th of March , our teachers have an Online Junior Cycle training Day for each of their respective subjects.
However, as it is online they are going to take their 5th year and 6th year classes in person in school but will not be in a position to teach any other classes that day. Therefore , 1st, 2nd,3rd& TYs will not have class on that day.

BCS Fittest Family

The Whelan’s are BCS’s Fittest Family 2021. A huge congratulations to all our families who participated in the competition. It was great to see so many physically active throughout the weeks and spending time with their families. There were plenty of challenges along the way but our families took them in their stride. The Whelan’s made a massive effort in the final challenge winning by a small margin. In 2nd place we had the Roche’s, closely followed by the Mernin’s and the Lander’s. Prizes will be presented to the each of our finalists after the Easter break.
