Subject: Body Image and Self Esteem Free Webinar
Hi All,
Silver Arch FRC Parent Support Programme is pleased to advise that Psychologist Dr Eddie Murphy (from RTE’s Operation Transformation) will explore the issues that face young girls in relation to Body Image and Self Esteem in a Free Webinar on Thursday 14th October 7-8.30pm.
Self Esteem. Peer pressure. Eating disorders. Decisions about love and romance. Academic pressure. These are just some of the challenges that girls face today, and the age at which they encounter them is getting younger and younger. As a parent, would you like support to guide your daughter on her journey to womanhood and help her to make wise choices?
Whether she’s still playing with dolls or in the midst of the sometimes, turbulent teen years, is she truly secure in her identity and body image, as your valued and loved daughter? Psychologist, Dr Eddie Murphy will help you explore the challenges of raising your daughters to become strong, healthy, and body confident women.
Please share with anyone who might be interested.

Green Schools Tree Week
Created : 07 Oct 2021, 11:52 AM
Archived : 07 Dec 2021, 12:00 AM
Today is National Tree Day! This year's theme is 'Tree's are Good Neighbours'
Why not plant a tree sapling in your garden. Here's how!
Handle the sapling very carefully. It's very easy to cause root damage or accidentally break the sapling.
Dig a saucer-shaped hole as deep as the tree's roots system and 3 to 4 times as wide.
Remove any organic matter, like leaves or twigs, from the hole.
Position your tree, so the area where the roots meet the trunk is at or slightly above the ground. That’s called the root flare.
Hold the sapling upright, and refill the hole with the soil you just removed. Pack to get rid of any air pockets.
Add 2 to 3 inches of organic mulch, and water.
