Our U19A team lost their first game of the season against Sanford Park. Good effort from all girls and good luck against Mount Anville in their second game!

5th Year LCA Fundraiser for Temple Street Hospital

Our LCA 1 students ran a successful Halloween disco for the whole school as a part of their General Task for their Leaving Cert. With a bake sale and a tuck shop, they raised 164 euros that was then donated to the Temple Street Children's Hospital. Well done to all LCA girls involved!

This week has been LGBTQ+ Stand Up Awareness Week in Mount Carmel. Thank you to everyone who got involved in events, making bracelets and posters and learning about being an ally. We will continue with LGBTQ+ workshops for 1st and 2nd years next week!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

There will be a free webinar taking place this Wednesday, 13th November at 7pm called The Importance for Sleep for our Teenagers. The speaker is Lucy Wolfe and she will provide information and guidance around this topic. Lucy is best known for her books on sleep for younger children, but she has prepared some very useful material specifically for the parents of teenagers.

Book and Bun in JCSP Library

Our Stand Up Book & Bun event in our JCSP library during lunchtime was very well attended. We had lots of students borrowing books, entering our competitions, enjoying some buns and choosing stickers. Thanks also to the staff who popped in to show their support.

This week is Stand Up Awareness Week, where post-primary schools are encouraged to take a stand against homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. This year the theme being focused on is community and increasing friendship and support of LGBTQ+ students by other students. Our aim is to continue to make our JCSP Library a safe and supportive environment for all LGBTQ+ students and staff.
