Well done to our senior girls who had a great victory over Pres Castleisland today at Duagh GAA pitch on a score line of 3-16 to 5-8.

Forty four students and two teachers spent Friday September 1st in Ballybunion on TY Induction. The students spent the day learning about the year ahead, team building and examing their responsibilities for the year. Best of luck to all involved for the year. And remember 'you get out of TY what you put into it'.

Our Leaving Certificate Applied class of 2017/18 spent a day in the Tarbert Community Centre getting ready for the year ahead. We would like to wish them well in their course. They have a busy two years ahead of them.

Six LC2 students return today from Lourdes after spending the last 5 days as helpers with the Kerry Diocese Pilgrimage. The students were outstanding and a credit to their school, their families and most importantly themselves. The group met up with past pupils who were themselves acting as helpers. Well done to all involved and a big thank you to Sr. Frances who accompanied the group.

Well done to all our First Year Boys who participated in the 2016 NORTH KERRY 1ST YEAR BLITZ in Tarbert yesterday. Two teams from Tarbert played teams from St Michael’s Listowel and Ballybunion Community College. Thanks to John Dillon for continuing to organize this now annual event and thanks to our LC1 Referees Michael Collins & David Brosnan.

TARBERT COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL OPEN NIGHT – CHANGE OF DATE

It has been decided to change the date of the Open Night for sixth class pupils at Tarbert Comprehensive School from Thursday the 27 th of October to Wednesday the 26 th of October. This annual evening has proven to be an interesting event for prospective students and their parents/guardians as it affords the opportunity to view all of the facilities that the school has on offer in the areas of curricular and extra-curricular activities. In recent years a trend has established that fifth class pupils also visit the school on the evening. This is a welcome development as it is a major choice that families are faced with when students are considering the prospect of second-level education.
Maths Week

This week is Maths Week and to promote fun with numbers there will be lots of activities, quizzes and games to enjoy in the school during the week. Check out the Library and the Numeracy board for details and competitions. The whole school will DO SUMTHING DIFFERENT on Friday when we'll all spend a class adding to our maths skills!!!
