Yesterday evening in the the Church of the Most Precious Blood, Cabra West a carol service for all the parish schools both primary and secondary was held. The school choirs and music groups were joined by the senior and childrens choir from the parish. It proved to be a wonderfully uplifting night for the large crowd in attendance.
Each group sang a religious and a seasonal song joining in unison for a finale led by Fr Michael O'Grady P.P. sending everyone home in good spirits. Our own music group of Kenan Flennery (guitar & vocals), Max Keating (guitar), Cian Thornberry (piano), Martin McDonald (vocals) and James Byrne (vocals) enthralled the audience with their wonderful renditions of Oh Holy Night, Christmas(U2) and Walking in the Air. A big thanks to them all for their preparation and performance.

Well done to all Transition Year students who completed the Tour-Guiding programme in Glasnevin Cemetery today.
Despite their nerves all of the students delivered their individual speeches without scripts.
One of the professional guides described the group from St Declan’s as being one of the best he had seen!
Congratulations boys and thank you to Ms Byrne & Ms Doyle who prepared the boys so well!
