For World Book Day students from 1 Amber created some very creative short stories using only titles of books from our school Library!
· Bouchra Baibanou- a renowned champion alpinist in Africa and the Arab world,
· Sinead Buckley-Quinn- local entrepreneur and owner of the Irish Design Gallery,
· Merieme Chadid- an explorer, astronomer and one of the world’s greatest living scientists,
· Eimear O’Connor- Director of the Tyrone Guthrie Arts Centre and Art Historian.

A team of students from the two 6th year Spanish classes participated in a debate with students from Blackrock College. The motion was 'Los jóvenes pueden cambiar el mundo' (young people can change the world). It was a great opportunity for the students to showcase their excellent fluency and passion for world issues. ¡Muy Bien trabajo a todos!
Students had great fun celebrating 'Pi day' with a pie baking competition. There was great fun and enjoyment had by all who attended. @lecheiletrust1 #STEM
5th Year students from our newly established Ember Team attended the 1st Le Cheile Student Symposium in Knock. They had a great day and got involved in lots of activities. Students especially enjoyed taking part in the choir to celebrate mass. Many thanks to all involved
Congratulations to Prachi Agrawal, the Dublin Regional Winner of the Oireachras Essay Wring competition. Prachi was presented with her prize by the Ceann Comhairle in Leinster House today. She was accompanied by her proud parents and Politics and Society teacher, Ms Clarke.
Congratulations to Emily (1st Place - Poetry), Erica (1st Place - Short Story) and Xochitl (2nd Place -Short Story) for their winning entries to the Rotary Creative Writing Competition.
Keisha, Prachi and Aya attended the Phil Speaks mace debate in Trinity College and all three have progressed to the finals. Aya and a student from another school won the Silver Finals and received a trophy. Best of luck to Keisha who will be competing in the Leinster finals tomorrow night.
The 5th and 6th years enjoyed a trip to the National Concert Hall where they enjoyed a live performance of Tchaikovsky's 'Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture'. The music students loved the analysis of the work as well as the full performance by the National Symphony Orchestra.
