Great trip to the European U21 qualifier between Ireland and Italy in Turners Cross. A superb atmosphere created by our fantastic students while seeing the next generation of stars in action. A great time had by all. @faischools

1st year girls had their first training session yesterday and it was a big success! The girls received expert guidance from Kathy Shaw, who has played for the Irish team. We’re looking forward to a great year of hockey ahead!
Minor LGFA

Our minor ladies football team had their first outing yesterday in the Munster competition against a strong Colaiste na Sceilge in Cahersiveen. Down at half time, our girls had a much improved second half performance but it was the Cahersiveen side who took the victory. Well done to all.

Our 1st years made their Munster debut beating a very good Abbeyfeale team in Tralee today. Goals from Daragh O Conor and Kieran Patton with loads of good support and performances all round. Desmond College are up next in the next fixture.
TY Sleep out for Homelessness - this Friday 13th October

Our TYs will be sleeping out in aid of Homelessness this Friday 13th October as part of the annual Focus Ireland Fundraiser. As well as the very important fundraising element we hope that students will gain a better understanding of what life is like for children & adults in this country with no place to live. We are the only school in Kerry taking part this year so please support them here in aid of what is most certainly a very worthy cause.

Well done to the Senior Science quiz teams who participated in the ISTA Science quiz in Tralee on Thursday night. Congratulations to Conor Sowerby, Emily Gill and Brian Foley, who came 3rd, qualifying for the All Ireland final in Dublin on Dec 2nd.
Hospice Coffee Morning

Staff and students of the Intermediate School were delighted to present a cheque to Killorglin Hospice this morning. A recent coffee morning in the staff room raised €400 for Killorglin Hospice. Thanks to everyone for their generous contributions.
