Using Technology to Help Your Reading and Writing – A Webinar for Post-Primary Students and Parents
Created : 22 Feb 2021, 12:14 PM
Archived : 24 Feb 2021, 12:00 AM
This online workshop will introduce students with specific learning difficulties (for example dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD) and their parents to some free and easy to use apps and software to help with reading and writing. Students can use this technology in the comfort and privacy of their own home to complete school work and homework more easily. The workshop is part of the Enabling Transitions project for access to higher education. Students who learn to use technology to help with reading and writing at school will find this skill very helpful if they go on to Further or Higher Education later. Here is a link to a really interesting interview with Dr. Niall Moyna on Newstalk radio on Tuesday about the Health of the Nation. The conversation covers general fitness and health advice for students and adults. We were delighted to have Dr. Moyna down to help open our new Science Building a few years ago where he spoke passionately on the subject of health and fitness. Well worth a listen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI_l6cwwJNU&t=3s
