Munster Technological University Cork will host a Live Questions and Answers Session for prospective CAO students next Wednesday January 27th from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, and will cover areas such as Business, Engineering, Science, Humanities, Computer Science, Art, Music & Maritime. Representatives will be on hand to answer any questions or queries. The session will be particularly beneficial for students filling in their CAO Form for the 1st of February deadline and begins with a presentation ‘Completing your CAO Application – Top Tips’.

Wednesday 27th January 2021
2.30pm – 2.45pm Completing Your CAO Form – Top Tips (Caitríona Horgan, Careers Advisor)
2.45pm – 3.30pm Overview of courses in the Faculty of Business & Humanities including MTU Crawford College of Art & Design and MTU Cork School of Music followed by live Q and A (Gerard O’Donovan, Head of Faculty)
3.30pm – 4.15pm Overview of courses in the Faculty of Engineering & Science including the National Maritime College of Ireland followed by live Q and A (Tim Horgan, Head of Faculty)
4.15pm – 4.30pm DARE and HEAR schemes (Access Service)

Final CAO deadline - you can still apply to CAO up to the 1 February at 5:15pm for a fee of €45.

66,457 students availed of the early CAO reduced-fee date of Jan 20th but students may still apply up to February 1st for a fee of €45. The process of applying to CAO is really straight-forward and is completed online on www.cao.ie.
Applicants are required to supply their personal details, qualifications, make a payment, create a password and enter courses (these can be changed and rearranged later in the "Change of Mind" in May) ***RESTRICTED courses with early application deadlines MUST be entered before Feb 1st!
Applicants for the HEAR and DARE schemes are required to TICK the box (online as part of their CAO form by Feb 1st) COMPLETE the online form before the 1st March and POST supporting documents to the CAO Office in Galway by 15th March. Gathering supporting documentation can take some time, so the process should be started NOW.
The CAO website contains a number of resources for CAO applicants in the ‘Student Resources’ section, including a Demo Form, CAO Video Guides, a copy of the CAO Handbook, and resources for parents and guardians. Visit www.cao.ie for more information and best of luck with your application.

A reminder all classes will begin at 9:00am sharp today. On line classes will finish for Junior Cycle at 11:ooam and 11:20am for Senior students to facilitate a staff meeting. Students are encouraged to use the remainder of the school day as catch up time on school work on which they may be behind.

Some of the different types of Challenges available on Strava are: Virtual Races, segment challenges, running, cycling etc.
These challenges will contain a leaderboard of your activity.
