They all did a fantastic job cooking serveral dishes in a limited time period.

All dishes were also beautifully presented.

They should all be very proud of this amazing achievement.

Today our 6th years had a wave of a time on their School Tour to Tramore. Unfortunately the waves weren't huge but that didn't stop our 6th years seas the day as they enjoyed the sun, the surf and the ice creams. Click on the gallery to sea more images from the day, unfortunately I didn't get any photos of them standing on the boards, I was laughing too hard at them falling off.

The deadline for Ember applications for the academic year 2023-24 has been extended to Monday, May 22nd, for all current 3rd year students.

The current Ember Team of 2022-23 presented their experience of being a part of the Ember Team during the celebrations for Le Cheile Day, on March 31st.

The Ember programme aims to create  opportunitues for students where they can experience faith in a way that makes sense to them. Students selected to be members of the Ember Team will act as leaders in CPC, while also engaging in opportunities that have potential to deepen their own faith.

The Ember Team of 2022-23 organised many activities and events for the school community, such as;

  1. Attended three day residential training in the Ovaca Manor, Wicklow.

  2. Mass for 1st year students at the beginning of the school year.

  3. On Founder’s Day, they did a presentation on Elizabeth Prout (founder of our school) to the whole school body.

  4. As a part of the celebrations for Catholic Schools’ Week, they said a ‘Thought of the Day’ and a prayer over the intercom. They also had a discussion with the First Years about grandparents on Grandparents’Day. The team also made positive notes with messages of encouragement, and gave them to all the teachers and staff. And also handed out prayers to the 3rd Years and 6th Years before their mock exams.

  5. On the 13th of March, the Ember team along with a select few students went to the Knock Symposium, where we learned the history behind Knock, attended Mass and followed guided meditation.

If you would like to apply to be a part of the Ember team for the academic year 2023-24, please collect an application form from Ms. A. Kelly in the SEN office.

We were delighted to enjoy our inaugural Oscars Awards Ceremony. The excitement was palpable from the start. Just like the Academy Award winners, we have a large number of people to thank for making this event possible. Huge thanks to Georga Dowling of Food School for generously creating the exquisite backdrop to this lovely occasion. Thank you to John Swift and Erin Whelan of MEX Events who loaned us the red carpet, decorative ropes and uplighters. Thank you to Jessica Kennedy who worked with Pamper Me Beautiful to create our balloon display and to Conor Wilkins for Sound. Thank you to Mr Mann who made the frame for our photos and the cutest door stops! Thanks also to Daniel Groome who edited all the films so they could be showcased in their respective categories. We had a total of fourteen categories with worthy winners in each. Thank you to Brian Byrne of The Kilcullen Diary for a lovely article on the event and a range of photos. Please go to https://kilcullenbridge.blogspot.com/2023/05/glittering-cpc-oscars-today.html and https://photos.app.goo.gl/n2z9486LA4t7ty5y6  With every bit as much glitz and glamour as the Academy Awards, it was a wonderful and enjoyable experience for all.
