The HSE Talking Health and Wellbeing Podcast has returned with a ‘Back to School’ theme, focussing on providing support to parents as young people return to school. We would appreciate you sharing the below podcast episodes with parents and school staff who may be interested in health and wellbeing.
Our recent episodes include ‘Back to School’, ‘Healthy Lunchboxes for Kids’, and ‘Screen Time for Young People’. These episodes provide useful tips and advice for parents and caregivers of young people on a variety of topics that families face and are available on Podbean, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and on the HSE Health and Wellbeing YouTube Channel.
We were delighted to welcome our 6th Yr students and their parents and guardians into CPC on Tuesday evening for a very practical information session on how to support our Leaving Cert students as they begin their final year in CPC. Mr Leonard, our Principal, opened the evening and offered valuable advice on how to support our 6th years in the coming months as they prepare for their final exams. Ms Fennell discussed how students can best navigate the days and months ahead under the strands of Be Respectful, Be Ready and Be Involved. Our Career Guidance Counsellors provided great insights into the various options available to students in relation to college applications, PLC's, apprenticeships, CAO and much more. Both our Deputy Principals Ms Harney and Ms Reigh were also in attendance to offer support and advice throughout the evening. We wish our Leaving Cert students the very best with their studies in the year ahead.
We are looking forward to welcoming you over the coming evenings.
The schedule for the upcoming meetings is as follows:
Tuesday 3rd September: 3rd Years @6pm and 6th Years @7:30pm
Wednesday 4th September: 2nd Years @6pm and 5th Years @7:30pm
Tuesday 17th September: 1st Years @7pm

Our 5A students had their first Horticulture class today. It was an historic event as it is our first ever Leaving Certificate Horticulture class. Teacher Ms Lamont and her students have begun an exciting journey which will not only benefit the students of 5A but also the wider school community.

We were delighted to welcome our TY 24-25 students to their induction programme yesterday. They engaged in a variety of very interesting activities, beginning their journey in Senior Cycle. They were excited to go to CP Adventure this morning and we look forward to hearing about all the fun they will have!
