2nd Year Internet Safety Workshops

Dear 2nd Year Parents, Cyber Bullying & Internet Safety are two of the biggest concerns facing both parents and students in the modern age. In light of this I have organised Internet Safety Workshops via zoom for all 2nd Year students on Tuesday 19th October at 11.15pm for one hour. There will also be a Parents Workshop on Internet Safety via zoom Tuesday 19th October at 7pm-8pm. The cost of the workshop is a total of 10 euro and covers both student and parent(s) for attendance at the workshops. You can pay for the workshop through the School Shop on the school App. This payment will open on the 11th October and can all payments please be made on/ before Friday 15th October. I will post more information about the workshop on the students Google Classroom and will also send a reminder for the parents workshop closer to the date with the zoom link. Well done to our 1st Year GAA team who competed in the @KildareGAA blitz on a beautiful morning in Hawkfield. There was lots of great talent on show with some wonderful scores taken and tenacious tackling. The future of CPC GAA is in safe hands. This sets the squad up nicely for their competition which will begin after Christmas, with training dates to be announced in the coming days. Well done to all
Virgin Media Television SOAR Workshop Recording

We were delighted to welcome Orlagh, Sorcha and Martin from SOAR along with Joan from Virgin Media Television to record a SOAR Workshop with some of our 5th Year students. It was a very enjoyable experience with plenty of reflection on character development, facing challenges and discovering the greatness within.

Today in CPC we are celebrating European Day of Languages, which takes place every year on 26th September. We would like to thank our students who carried out research to create our very colourful display board with lots of interesting facts about the many languages spoken in Europe. Also un grand merci und Danke to our TY Leadership Group who compiled a quiz which all students can access through the link below. 5L went to the River Cafe to sample coffee, hot chocolate and cakes this morning as part of their research into coffee shop menus. A lovely morning enjoyed by all.

Dance Workshop with Jiving Teens

Sandra Ganley of Jiving Teens worked with each TY class, teaching them how to jive, line dance and waltz. It was a really enjoyable experience and a lovely life skill to develop. Watch out for some serious moves at the next family event!
