Green Schools Update Jan 2023

Yesterday Ms. Ryan and two of our student’s, Derval Gibney-Sheridan and Jessica Lee attended the Green Schools, Water Ambassador training in Douglas, Cork.

With the help of TY-F we are currently taking part in the brand-new GLOBE Ireland 3-week pilot project:  How Spongy Is Your School? Rainfall and Flooding Observation.  Our students are monitoring rainfall levels and developing plans for flood resilience. 

Green Schools members will be participating in a major river clean up on February 8 th  in Lismore; we also aim to test river pollution levels on this day. 

For the 5 th  year BCS Green Schools will also be taking part in the National Spring Clean this March. 

Meeting every Monday at 1:20pm in A9.

Subejct choice forms for 5th year will be handed out after the midterm break and closing date for returning them will be 28th Feb. 2023.

Our Junior camogie team defeated Roscrea today 4-8 to 0-4. They have qualified for the junior Munster final .

Congratulations to our Junior A Camogie team who beat Roscrea in the Semi Final 4-8 to 4 points. Well done girls on an outstanding game from start to finish. 

Both our Senior and Junior teams are now into Finals.
