The candidate self service portal closes tomorrow Tuesday 21st Feb at 5pm. All Leaving Certificate students must register and confirm your subjects and levels before 5pm tomorrow. Please make sure that the list that is on the Candidate self service portal matches the subjects you want to sit in your Leaving Certificate. If there are any subjects omitted, please add them and delete any additional subjects that you are not sitting. 

This is urgent and if not already completed, please do so immediately.

It is very simple to do, you just go to the above website, register using your exam number and the first 4 digits of your PPS number and then confirm your subject choices and levels.

Climbing Competition

Awesome Walls is organising a climbing competition for secondary school students across the country. Qualification rounds will take place in Cork in March, with the final being held on the 27th of April in Dublin. It is a team and individual competition for both Juniors and Seniors. This event is ideal for both complete beginners looking to try something new and experienced youth climbers hoping to secure the national title for their school. It was a fantastic week this week as TY students completed the Irish Heart Foundation CPR course as well as learning about basic first aid. Well done to all involved. Remember to know your eircode!

We are delighted to announce that the TY musical theatre group have qualified to the finals of the Light Entertainment section in the Briery Gap competition. This will take place on Monday 20th March. Well done to them all!!
East Munster Cross Country

Athletes from BCS travelled to Carriganore on Friday for the East Munster Schools Cross Country Competition. We had a hugely successful day with fantastic individual and team performances.

The following have qualified for the Munster Schools event in the same venue on Feb 24th.

Minor Girls - Saorlaith Mernin (13th) and Kate Nugent (15th)

Junior Girls - Charlotte Norman (2nd), Brooke Dunford (15th) as individual qualifiers and also as a team with Orlaith Moher

Junior Boys - Mikey Parker (13th)

Inter Boys - TEAM WINNERS 1st place to our  team of Conor Lynch, Thomas Leary, Cathal Barry, Cormac Martin, Iarlaith Meagher and Jack Buckley

Senior Girls - Neesha Whelan

Well done to everyone who competed, Carriganore is a very challenging course!
