On Halloween last year in Lismore there were a large number of criminal incidents including criminal damage, Fireworks offences, antisocial behaviour and attacks on emergency services.
In response to this An Garda Síochána have put an operational plan in place for Halloween this year to ensure we do not have a repeat of last year’s event.
To assist with this, I am seeking the cooperation of all parents and guardians not to leave their children unsupervised in Lismore on Halloween evening/night and to ensure they are aware of their presence and location at all times.
I thank you for your help and assistance with this matter.
Kind Regards
Ken O’Donovan

Study Skills

Study Skills are something that we work on for our entire lives and many of the skills we learn in school go onto benefit us in our careers. Really examining the quality of study being done is often more important than looking at the amount of time being spent. Is what you are doing actually helping you to learn the information? Students are engaging in study skills at the moment through SPHE and careers classes. The following website has some information that may be useful when examining the quality of study you are doing. cc.careersportal.ie/studyskills/
Always remember if you are stuck in class or struggling ask for help. A positive outlook about study is really important to keeping us feeling well and engaged with our schoolwork. Changing the outlook from “I can’t” to “it is difficult, but I will try” can make a difference to progress made while studying.
Best of luck!
