Open Events Schedule for 2019 We have a number of interesting events coming up which students might find helpful in making the right course choices on the CAO. Events for Leaving Cert students - 2019 entry Spring open events: Friday & Saturday, 29 & 30 March. This is an extremely helpful event for students as both the student and parent are very focused on narrowing their course choices as well as tying down the more practical elements like accommodation, fees, grants, transport etc. Visit our events page for more information . We also have a number of events running during the Spring Open events: Try Lab Sciences: The Department of Science is running two-hour lab sessions in Biology and Pharmaceutical Science during the Spring open day on Saturday, 30 March. These labs have limited availability and are specifically designed for anyone considering studying a lab science programme in September 2019. You will find more information and can book on the events page . An Hour of Code: In just one hour, we're giving CAO applicants the chance to figure out if coding is for them using a special 'Hour of Code' exercise, designed to demystify 'code' and show that anybody can learn the basics. This event is very popular so we are running three sessions throughout the open day on Saturday 30 March. More information and booking is on the events page . BBS event: Students interested in business are invited to a special event during the open days where they will meet staff, current students and graduates who will share their experiences of the programme. We are running one session on Friday 29 March and two on Saturday 30 March. There’s no need to book for this event but more information on the event, locations and times is here . Transition Year Students Engineering your future: May 2019. Engineering You Future is run in conjunction with Engineers Ireland and we take 40 TY students for four days. There’s a cost but it’s a great event. There's full information and booking on the events page
