We had a very busy week with Catholic Schools Week on with students out on walks as part of the theme of nature and environment over the week. St Bridgets Day was marked with a visit to all classes and delivery of Bridget Crosses; Ty girls attended a STEM Workshop Day in Cork and TYA /TYB had a talk from Steven Dargan, AWARE on developing good Life Skills. Best of Luck to all Junior and Leaving Cert students who begin their PRE exams this week

Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in Carriganore yesterday with special mention to Natalie Nicholson, Conor Ahearne and Eimear Griffin who have qualified for the Munsters in Clarecastle on 13th February.

The East Munster Schools Cross Country event will take place tomorrow in Carriganore. Students will leave at 10.45, please bring €3 for bus. Approx time of return is 4.30. Don’t forget to bring a lunch and a change of clothes - conditions are likely to be mucky. Best of luck to all!!

Thanks to John Lonergan, former governor of Mountjoy who visited the school yesterday and spoke to students during the day and Parents at night. He spoke about criminality, respect and appropriate reactions and actions in different situations, encouraging good choices and decisions.
